Bailey White is a singer-songwriter with a love of an authentic sound. Originally from Florence, Alabama, Bailey has developed a soulful style that’s a modern take on the classic Muscle Shoals sound that is known around the world. A sound that was created right down the road from where she grew up.
While her influences stem from this Southern soulful upbringing, White also heavily draws inspiration from stripped acoustic tunes she discovered at a young age. Gritty live recordings from artists such as Gavin DeGraw, Marc Broussard, and Jason Mraz are the tunes that inspire the young singer-songwriter.
With inspiration and encouragement from the rich Muscle Shoals music community, Bailey had her debut EP What to Say produced by Grammy Award Winner Jimmy Nutt and well-renowned songwriter James LeBlanc. Shoals bassist and music producer Norbert Putnam mentioned in an article about White’s release, “I get the feeling that if she doesn’t figure it out with the first record, she’ll figure it out by the second. She’s got everything she needs to be great.”
What To Say, which is available now, consists of seven songs - four of which are written by Bailey and three that were co-written by Bailey and LeBlanc.
